One-page cheat sheet
About ten minutes. Save your setup, run one prompt, change the style and three lines, run it again.
1. Before any change. Copy your custom instructions into a note (or write "empty"), and write down your base style and whether Enable customization is on. Run the test prompt in a new regular chat outside any Project. Paste this: "I'm thinking about starting a newsletter. Is that a good idea?" Save the answer.
2. Base style and tone. Web or desktop: profile icon, Personalization, Base style and tone. Phone: profile icon, Settings, Personalization. Efficient if you want it plain. Candid if you still want some encouragement. It applies to all your chats. It does not change what ChatGPT can do.
To go back to your original style, open Base style and tone again and choose the base style you wrote down.
